The National Recreation and Parks Association has declared July to be Parks and Recreation Month. To celebrate we have put together a calendar with fun stuff to do all 31 days of July. Have some fun on us!

Summer Camp Mania begins June 8th! Field Trips, swimming, games, arts and crafts, and sports will keep your kids entertained all summer long! Camp runs at all 3 recreation centers for 11 weeks, Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. daily.

Kids Eat FREE all Summer!
If you are 18 or younger you can get a FREE lunch all summer long! Every Mon-Fri, June 8 – Aug 21, come to one of 6 different locations throughout the city to get a well balanced free lunch.
Note: Lunch hours have been changed to 11 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Adaptive Sports at Charley Taylor Rec!
BlazeSports is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that advances the lives of youth and adults with physical disability through sport and healthy lifestyles. The Grand Prairie Parks and Recreation Dept. now offers programming in swimming, golf, sitting volleyball, and wheelchair sports.

Grand Prairie Parks and Recreation and GPISD have teamed up on a Playful City USA project. City employees, park board members and playground builders all worked with the 9th graders at South Grand Prairie High School to design a playground that was built in ONE DAY!

This new system allows you to see and register for all of your favorite recreation classes and programs online! To use the system you will need a Login ID and Pin # that can be obtained by calling or visiting at any GP recreation center. You can also register for classes at the recreation centers.
